I have a Beach Hunter ID and my fiance has this Class 5ID and I have found that I enjoy his machine more than my beach hunter when hunting in a wooded area. My White's Beach Hunter is great for water finds (I've found a few coins water detecting but spend more time on land then off shore). With the Class 5ID I've found many clad coins, several wheat pennies and my oldest find- a 1826 large penny!

This is a great detector and very user friendly. This is a great beginners machine and is very accurate with depth and coin detection. I would recommend this for anyone who is just starting out and wants something simple that finds great targets!

I usually detect for coins with my dad and my fiance. My dad has a MXT and he's found some older wheat pennies as well. I'm very impressed with this Classic 5 and plan on getting one for myself in the near future.
