I have been hunting with my Eagle II SL for over 20 years. I am so at one with it that I have not updated to a newer model. I just couldn't stand to retire my old friend, but I am now retired and feel that it is time for my detector to be retired too. My son, who now lives in Florida, also has the same model. We have found many silver and clad coins, jewelry and relics. His best find was an antique lady's silver pocket watch with rubies on the watch fob. I had it refurbished and presented it to him at his wedding reception. During the speeches at the reception, I told the audience that we had found many treasures throughout the years but that the greates treasure he will ever find woud be Shana, his wife.
We found several silver dollars. Once, while ground balancing our Eagles, he moved on due to initially encountering ground interferance. I went over to his previous area and found a 1920 silver dollar. I recently had it made into a belt buckle for him and he is no longer mad that I found "his" dollar. Several time I went over the hole that he had abandoned in his youthful haste to hunt and found coins that he had missed. I always enjoyed showing him that this is one hobby where age and experience can compete with youth.
I am looking forward to detecting Florida beaches with my grandchildren.
(I had to use model XLT as Eagle was not an option.)

I love taking my 4 year old neighbor out in his yard and look for things with my White's XLT. I don't use the headphones when I am with him so that he can hear it sound off. He gets so excited and almost shakes with excitement. It doesn't matter what we find when we start looking in the ground and he does not give up until we find it either. I am looking forward to taking him some place where he can find more than the usual nails and pop tops. He has been into the pirate thing with all of the movies out so this is perfect. I believe that I may have helped this youth find a hobby that will, hopefully, stay with him throughout his lifetime. My Whites XLT will be light enough and easy for him to use soon. It is very easy to adjust and I should be able to adapt it to his size once he grows a bit taller.

I throughly enjoy the detector. I am 57 years old and appreciate the easy of use and light weight also. Even though I have had my detector for a while I haven't have the chance to really use it the way I would like. I look forward to having the time to do that. I recently retired and may be considering a move to the Ocala, Florida area.

I know that Kellyco's store isn't that far away so I will be able to get all kinds of help and accessories, as well as tips for places to hunt. Happy detecting to everyone!

I started hunting by myself using a Whites Prizm V. I found plenty of stuff, but no really good things. Then about a month ago I upgraded to the XLT. What a world of difference. This machine is awesome. It goes deep, it's accurate on ID and also on pinpoint. The versatility of the machine is just phenomenal. I have recommended it to all my friends interested in getting into metal detecting.

I have been metal detecting for 13 years. I mostly like to search for coins, but I love finding the relics as well. I recently upgraded to a White's XLT after using the same machine (different brand) for 11 years.

I found the XLT very easy to use and to fine tune to fit my hunting needs. It has five "turn on and go" programs that are easy to select and use. It also has four "custom program" spots that are very easy to create and use as well.

The VDI read out and "signagraph" are very easy to understand. The numbers are spot on every time and it's like you can actually see what's underneath the ground! I have only owned the XLT for 4 months and I can honestly say that it is the BEST machine that I have ever used!

In the very short time that I have owned it, I've found 4 Half Dimes, 3 1700s Spanish Silver coins, 1 Two Cent Piece, 2 Large Cents, 2 "V" Nickels, 1 Barber Dime, 1 Seated Liberty Dime, 4 Indian Head Cents, and numerous Wheat Pennies including an awesome 1909 V.D.B. in EF condition! I have also found MANY interesting relics including a 200 year old military pewter whistle, a Civil War General Staff Officers Button, 15-20 musket balls and almost 50 flat "coin" buttons.

All of these coins and relics were found at my PREVIOUSLY HUNTED old home sites in Indiana. I have custom made a program that really makes the coins and relics come to light. The instructions are very easy to understand. Very much so that you could start finding the good stuff as soon as you turn it on! My finance had NEVER been metal detecting before and she was able to pick up the XLT and start using it successfully without even reading the manual! She was finding the coins and relics that the other machines had missed. This is a VERY user friendly machine and I would HIGHLY recommend this Metal Detector to anyone who is ready to find some real treasure!
