I started detecting in 1970s with a Bounty Hunter, then I got away from it for quite awhile. A few years went by, and then I decided to get into it again. I bought myself for Christmas a top of the line Whites DFX metal detector, which I have not used yet because I am a warm weather person. I should say that lived in Houston Texas for twenty one years, and I like to hunt for coins and jewelry.

There are no beaches in Ohio, although I will be going to some state park swimming beaches. This is because you are allowed to metal detect on the beaches at the state parks. On a side note, I have been in my yard and got a lot of hits with it, but it has been so wet, cold, and muddy. I have not really used it enough to get out and test it, but from what I've read, I like the preprogrammed turn on and go selections.

Plus all of the other options adjust all of the other programs to the options of your choice. This detector has the ability to do it all, plus it was made in the good old USA! I hope to get out when the weather turns nice again. I want to find all of the things I missed with my old metal detectors. I think the Whites metal detectors are the best made in the World and the USA.

I would recommend Whites metal detectors to anyone thinking about getting one and to get it from Kellyco!

I don't own a metal detector to go looking for treasure under the ground. My interest has always wanting a white metal detector to hunt for coins, relics, and jewelry.

The metal detector of choice would be the DFX, because it has all of bells and whistles on for all around hunting for treasure. One of the great features is you are able to see what’s in the ground whether it be a coin, jewelry or relics. I know when I get a metal detector the fun and excitement will be there for me to enjoy and excitement that goes along with hunting for treasures of all kind.
I will also be able to hook up with other people interested in the same hobby and share our experience of hunting for treasures.

I haven’t been metal detecting very long, so I’m fairly new to the detecting world. I like to go metal detecting in parks, yards, old houses, and schools. I find all kinds of things there, even lost keys.

All the different things really excite me because I know I found something good. I find the later models a lot easier to work with. I like how the meter tells me what I’m finding, if it didn’t have a meter I probably wouldn’t be very good at finding things. I have found a lot of coins, rings, and necklaces.

I haven’t found any old coins, yet most are new ones. I like that I don’t have to tune the detector because it’s ready to hunt. I have found somewhere in the number of fifty rings five necklaces and over one hundred dollars in coins and several keys.

I enjoy metal detecting; it’s a fun way to meet others out hunting too. Someone’s always saying what they found and what not to do. What brand you have and if it works better then there’s, or they just want to no what you have found so far or what are good places to look.

I saw one man hunting on a school; he said he already hunted today, but I decided to hunt anyway. I found a couple of rings and several coins. So it pays to go over again where someone’s hunted, you never no what you will find. Most all the rings I found were nice rings that turned into money for me. I was really excited when I found my first ring, it had four stones on it, and I got 125 out of it. So buying a metal detector is well worth the money, I love mine.

I use a small coil on mine. It seems to work best in finding coins.
