In one form or another, I guess that you could say that I have been an armature treasure hunter all my life. From the time I bought my first detector back in the middle seventies, it wasn't uncommon to see me gently cutting out small plugs of sod to reach my objective from coast to coast and border to border.

I live in Ohio but except for Hawaii and Alaska I have detected in every other state. In search for good places to hunt, I like to travel on old route forty or thirty.

Just since I have been detecting detectors I have went from a heavy and hard to use machine to one that only weighs two to three pounds an extremely easy to use they can do everything for you today except dig up the coin. This machine tells you what it is how deep it is and exactly where it's at. Even though most of the jewelry isn't worth a lot there are a few pieces my wife and daughter wear on special occasions.
