I am thirty years old and I live in Springfield Massachusetts.
I bought a Predator 3 from Kelly Co. very recently. I am very excited to tell you that I get out everyday with it and I have found silver and gold already.
When the Predator 3 came in the mail I popped in the video and watched it at least five times. I then bench tested my machine. I went out the same day and started an addiction. I started finding coins and relics the first day.
I am thrilled everyday when I'm outside with my machine. It's wonderful when people approach me and ask "Have you found anything?" and that starts a great conversation that almost always leads them to inviting me to there yards.
I have become very good with dealing with the public and making them aware that we as treasure hunters are not in it for the money, that we are more concerned with the history of an earlier time. Its amazing just the other day I was hunting a tree belt , There was a light signal for a silver object.
I began to cut a small hole in the grass. I lifted the flap of grass and scanned it , nothing so I began scooping out small handfuls and nothing. I began probing the dirt and about six and a half inches down was my treasure. I pulled out a 1904 barber dime. My house across the street was built in 1905.
How amazing is that. I am holding an object that one of the original owners possibly lost. My heart was beating so hard it nearly jumped out of my shirt. It might not sound like its treasure to most people but it brings my imagination back to the Victorian days. I can't thank the people at Kelly co. enough for providing me with the tools to find the past. I am very grateful to everyone there. The prompt shipping, wonderful customer service, and great products make you the best. Thanks again.

The primary items I search for are coins and jewelry, but any relic items I may find is a bonus. Thus a metal detector that can find all type of items exactly suits my varied interests. That is where the Garrett Predator III really shines. Around the control panel LCD are markings that tell me whether the target is iron, gold, or silver and identifies it as trash or foil, five cents, pull tabs, zinc, rings, cent and other coins. The search coil is water proof, which allows me to hunt shallow water, giving me the flexibility to hunt any terrain I may encounter.
The Metal detector is also very easy to use. All I need to do is turn it on using a control knob that adjusts to the detection depth I want to use. A second control knob is used for discrimination or I can leave it on all metal modes. Around the control panel LCD is a target ID guide which really helps pinpoint my target. Being able to visually see what my target may be on the control LCD, in addition to the sound the plug in headphone gives me keeps me well alerted while cover any given area.
I mostly hunt various camp grounds that my wife and I travel to throughout the Midwest during the summer months. My most interesting coin has been a Lyndon B. Johnson presidential coin dated January 20, 1965. My best jewelry find is a gold child’s 1st communion ring.
My best relic, which I consider my best overall find, is an Armana cold cream compact powder. Some research told me that the company went out of business sometime in the 1950's, so I suspect is could be as old as the 1930's. What a great find! This metal detector has been a 5 star for me!
