With Kellyco’s professional and experienced help, I have chosen 4 detectors through the years, including a large cache "2 box" detector, high end coin detector, a hand held wall detector, and a digital hand held heat detector.

The Fisher Gemini III (two boxes) is the main detector that I use since 1986 for cache hunting, (the former one was an old Gemni I). The new Gemini III that I bought in the early 1990’s is still in great condition and has had rugged use while searching for larger treasure targets.

Half of my treasure trips have been alone, and besides my WWII KBar bayonet, I particularly like the three pieces, four foot long metal handle as a defense weapon, since it is easily disconnected from the two main detector units. I have defended myself against attacking dogs on 2 occasions.

In addition, I have fallen down mountain sides with it twice. Unfortunately, this had resulted in a metal handle problem, which was somewhat fatigued especially on the very last fall down the mountain. (Never trust your life to a leafless tree near a cliff no matter how thick it is).

Kellyco actually went above and beyond and Fed Ex'd me a slightly used handle to save that expensive long planned treasure week in Virginia. They are the very best and I always recommend them to everyone!

I research and focus on 3 particular treasure sites, which have so far eluded me. However, I have uncovered many old artifacts and many new important facts and experiences that many people before me have missed, which have pushed me even closer to success.
The retrieved treasures so far were all sorts of items, including an empty 1820's railway safe with a "Grasshopper" lock mechanism, an iron pot from the early 1800's, a blacksmith hand crafted iron hook, several mining cart wheels and rails, and an iron lock box and lock from the early 1800's. Besides my own family and grandkids, the experiences that I have enjoyed on these historical pursuits are the most important highlights in my life.

This "2 Box" detector is not for everyone, but only for people who do the actual research and are seeking deeper larger treasure targets. It is very easy to use. I would give this Gemini III metal detector and Kellyco a 5 star rating.

The Fisher Gemini III is incredible! It has located ore veins as small as an inch thick and three inches wide at 1 foot deep. Also, it found a platinum vein at 4 feet in depth. The soil was very mineralized but the tuning still worked even though the starting sensitivity level was at 7 1/2. Another gold cache was located at a depth of 8 feet. It's a great buy and I highly recommend the Fisher Gemini III to any serious cache prospector.

I give it 5 stars!!!
